About Me

I started practicing back in 2002 and, unlike many people who first got involved in the barefoot world, my horse did not have any pathological or other hoof issues. The problem I had were issues with providers who gave a service, or lack there of, when it came time to take care of my horses feet. I had major problems with one provider and that led me to investigate a different way. I came across the website of a woman named Marjorie Smith and that is all it took. I read her site forward and backwards many times and everything she explained on her site made perfect sense, so I started down the road that changed the way I see horses all together. I discovered other people like Pete Ramey, Jamie Jackson, Ida Hammer, Danny Taylor, Eddie Drabak, ELPO and Linda Cowles among others, bought many a book, attended many clinics by many of the above mentioned clinicians, dissected many a hoof, which I continue to do, and learned, learned, learned. Curiosity got the best of a few and as I demonstrated to others about what I had been accomplishing with my gelding, they, in-turn, allowed me to trim their horses and to this day I continue to attend clinics (most recently a Pete Ramey clinic in February of 2015) when ever possible and learn every time I get under a horse as this learning experience never ends. I never expected the outcome to become a career, but I am happy it did as I love helping educate owners and helping their horses, especially the horse's with specific pathological issues, as it just elates me when I see them walk away sound and happy.
As far as what I do with my barefoot horses, I enjoy the sport of endurance, which is long distance riding on horseback in lieu of 25, 50, 75 or 100 miles. I prefer the longer distances of 75 to 100 miles and yes, we do those in one day, with boots of course. I am also an avid artist and, if you like, can view some of my work at this site.
If you would like to contact me to disscus any issues that your horse may be having , you can either email me at:
